Obituary of Daniel J. Reardon

Daniel J. Reardon Little Falls Daniel J. Reardon, 83, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, August 14, 2012, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, through prayer, and surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 7, 1929, in Fairfield, the son of the late Daniel W. and Agnes H. Herkle Reardon and was educated in Fairfield schools. Dan proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On November 20, 1954, he married the former Helen A. "Betty" Sagatis in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Reardon passed away September 7, 2007. His children are forever grateful for his loving care and devotion to their mother and his wife during her long illness. Prior to his retirement, Dan was employed with the former Chicago Pneumatic, Utica. He enjoyed spending his time gardening and wood working. Dan was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Dan is survived by his children and their spouses, Daniel B. and Joan Reardon and David A. and Diana Reardon, all of Little Falls, and Cathy A. Reardon of Albany; his brother and sister-in-law, John "Jack" and Pam Reardon of Schuyler; his sisters, Janet Carucci of Whitesboro and Doris Kerns of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, David Reardon, Jessica and her husband, Scott McCumber, Katherine Reardon and Elizabeth Reardon; his great granddaughter, Leah McCumber; his special feline companion, Kitty Kat; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Millington. Dan's funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Holy Spirit Polish Catholic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.
