Obituary of Joseph Humphrey

LITTLE FALLS- Mr. Joseph C. Humphrey, 75, of Alexander St., passed away on August 20, 2012 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. He was born on October 18, 1936, in Middleville, son of the late Howard Charles and Hazel (Deuel) Humphrey. He graduated from St. Johnsville Schools. On October 15,1976 he was united in marriage with Donna Herringshaw.Their loving union lasted 22 years until her passing on April 27, 1999. Joseph owned his own farm in Paines Hollow. Joseph will be missed by his entire family who loved him dearly. He loved to hunt and he loved his animals especially his little cocker spaniel Brandy (Mitchy) Survivors include his loving family: his sons Larry Evans of Ilion and Randy Evans and his wife Denyse of Little Falls; his grandchildren: Mathew, Trista, Leanne and Kyle Evans; his 3 great grandchildren; his sisters: Roberta Lasher of Little Falls, Ruth Humphrey of St.Johnsville and Shirley Petkovsek of Little Falls; his brother in laws: Stanley Herringshaw and his wife Valerie and Brian Herringshaw; his sister in laws: Lelia King, Joyce Humphrey, Beatrice Snyder and her husband Leroy and Lorraine Brown and her husband Tom; his nieces, nephews and cousins. and his special caregivers Alice and Andy Morrill and family who took such good care of Joseph for the pat two years. In addition to his parents and his wife, Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Tamela Humphrey, his brother Gerald Humphrey, his brother in laws: Leland Lasher, John Petkovsek and Fredrick Herringshaw and his sister in law Elnoria Brado. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls from 5-8 pm on Friday August, 24, 2012. A religious service will be held at 11am on Saturday August 25, 2012. Procession will follow to Highland Rural Cemetery in Jordanville where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife Donna.
