Obituary of Paul J. Kelly

Little Falls: Mr. Paul J. Kelly, 93, of Kelly Road, Little Falls (town of Fairfield), passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012, in Valley Health Services, Herkimer. Mr. Kelly was born on March 26, 1919 in Little Falls, a son of the late John R. and Gertrude (Lynch) Kelly. He was a lifelong area resident, and received his education in a one room schoolhouse. He and Elizabeth "Betty" Reynolds were married on October 12, 1957 in St. Ann's Church, Wells, NY. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Herkimer. Paul was a driver for Sanzone Distribution, Marcy, NY and worked there for 18 years. He, at one time, was a farmer and logger. Surviving Paul are his loving wife of 55 years, Betty; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Sue Kelly of Ilion; 4 grandchildren, Scott and Jackie Kelly of Frankfort, Mike and Erica Kelly of Floyd, Joshua and Bri Kelly of Mohawk, and Megan and Caleb Sirko of West Winfield; along with 11 great-grandchildren, Aleah and Michaella Kelly, Elizabeth Flynt, Isabella, Jeremy, Jocelyn, Everett, and Weston Kelly, Ethan Pansa, Vera Emily Kelly, and London Grace Sirko. He also leaves a niece and his nephews, Beverly Grady, and Pete and Tom Kelly. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, September, 1, 2012 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer (866-1011). His son, Pastor John Kelly, will conduct funeral services for his dad at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours. Mr. Kelly will be interred in Calvary Cemetery, West German Street, Herkimer. Those wishing may make a donation in his memory to the Herkimer County Humane Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
