Mrs. Katherine E. "Kay" Greenlee 91 a resident of Otsego Manor in Cooperstown since October 30, 2009, and former Dolgeville resident, died Sunday August 26, 2012 at the nursing home. Katherine was born in Dolgeville on July 26, 1921 the daughter of Charles L. and Georgiana L. (Jones) Silvernail and was a graduate of Dolgeville High School. Her marriage to Robert Allen Greenlee took place on August 28, 1941 in Dolgeville. Mr. Greenlee predeceased her on December 22, 2000. Kay as she was known was employed by the former Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville in the main office, and was also employed by the Dolgeville Central School system in the cafeteria. She was a devoted member of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church, along with enjoying quilting, reading, especially westerns and romance novels. Her family remembers her as an impeccable home keeper. She is survived by a daughter and her husband Pamela and Joseph Cali of Argyle, NY, her son in law Gary Parese of Richfield Springs, a brother John Silvernail of Dolgeville, two sisters Helen Benedetto of Albany and Jane Downin of Florida, her Grandchildren- Kate Rose Parese, Jessica and her husband Buzz Davis and Errin Charles and his wife Crystal Parese, her great Grandchildren, and Nieces and Nephews. she was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Parese on September 17, 2000. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 31, 2012 at Noon at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. The Rev. Dian E. DiLuzio, pastor of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dolgeville Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday morning from 11 AM until the time of the service.
