Obituary of Donald E. Olbrich

MOHAWK - Donald E. Olbrich, age 54, of Concord, NC, formerly of Mohawk, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center, Concord, NC, with his loving family by his side. He was born on October 26, 1957, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Ronald and Evelyn (Feeney) Olbrich, and graduated from Mohawk High School. Don was an employee at US Airways for many years and most recently worked at University of North Carolina in Charlotte. Survivors include his mother, Evelyn, of Mohawk; his sisters, Laura Wedemeyer, of Mohawk, Barbara Mezaki, of Alta Loma, CA, Polly Morris, of Hancock, NH, and Patricia Birch and her husband, Bill, of Frankfort; his brothers, David Olbrich and his wife, Mary, of Harrisburg, NC, Gregg Olbrich and his wife, Mary, of Mohawk, and Eric Olbrich and his wife, Kim, of Midlothian, VA; his many nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Qualseth and her husband, Ryan, and their children, Maria and Jack, Melinda Fox and her husband, Jeff, Colleen Olbrich, Buddy Wedemeyer and his fiancée, Tiffany Moore, Emily Wedemeyer, Mack and Kaegen Morris, Amanda, Natalie and Miles Mezaki, and Megan Tolman and Brad Sherwood and their daughter, Aubrie; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald Olbrich. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Friday, November 2, 2012, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk, with Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director, officiating.
