Obituary of Robert W. Nuese

ILION-RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Robert W. Nuese, age 73, of the Welcome Home for Adults, E. Main St., Richfield Springs, NY, and formerly of Ilion, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, NY. He was born on June 30, 1939, in Ilion, the son of Lawrence H. and Geneva C. (Quillen) Nuese. Robert attended E. Frankfort School and the Batavia School for the Blind. Survivors include his brother, Lawrence H. Nuese Jr., of Maine; his nieces and nephews, Gary Blaise and his wife, Joann, of Ilion, Linda Blaise Atkinson and her husband, Ralph, of Ilion, and Denelle Nickerson and Daryl Nuese, of MA; and several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence, his mother, Geneva, his sister, Eleanor Blaise, and his brother-in-law, Richard Blaise. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion (old Main St. between Ilion and Frankfort), with Rev. Robert Wollaber, Pastor of Morning Star United Methodist Church, Frankfort officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral home service. The family wishes to thank Ethel and all the workers at the Welcome Home for Adults in Richfield Springs who took such good care of Robert "Bobby".
