Obituary of John Otrupcak

Little Falls: John Otrupcak, 89, of Alpine Rehabilitation Center & Nursing Home, 755 E. Monroe Street, Little Falls, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, October 3, 2012, at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1923 in Herkimer, the son of the late Stephen and Anna (Mizerak) Otrupcak. He was educated in Little Falls Schools. He was a longtime friend and companion to the late Grace Nelson of Little Falls. Mr. Otrupcak was a devoted and loving son, and together with his mother, ran the Rollway Farm, upper Casler Street, Little Falls, for 30 years. He was also employed by the City of Little Falls DPW and Snyder's Bicycle Factory. He is survived by two brothers, Paul Otrupcak and his wife Katherine of Little Falls, and Michael Otrupcak of Killeen, Texas; and three sisters, Eva DiNardi and Kristine Bucenec of Little Falls, and Elaine Kroll and her husband Edward of Richfield Springs. He was predeceased by four sisters, Katherine Otrupcak, Ann Anderson, Suzanne Struble, and Elizabeth Konik, and one brother, Stephen Otrupcak. He was Godfather to Katherine (Katchy) Owens, Stephanie Cook, and Stephen Otrupcak, and the Uncle of several generations of nieces and nephews. Relatives and family friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service that will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort Street, Little Falls, with the Rev. Joseph Famulare, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the church on Friday morning from 10-11 a.m. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Otrupcak be considered to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home or the church for this purpose. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff of the Alpine Nursing Home and the Little Falls Hospital for their kindness and compassion shown to Mr. Otrupcak and his family. Arrangements are by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls.
