Mrs. Arlene M. Jones 91 of 105 South Main Street Dolgeville, who has been a resident of Valley Health Services in Herkimer, died there on Friday November 23, 2012 with the love and support of her family at her side. She was born in Dolgeville on August 24, 1921 the daughter of David and Mary (Edwards) Spingler and was a graduate of Dolgeville High School class of 1940. Her Marriage to Ronald J. Jones took place on April 30, 1942 in Dolgeville. They celebrated 70 years of marriage this past April. Mrs. Jones was employed by the former Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville, for many years retiring several years ago. She was of the Presbyterian faith, a member of the former Auskerada Chapter #204 Order of Eastern Star, and her personal interests were in her home, and her family. She is survived by her husband Ronald of 70 years, a son and his wife Thomas & Elaine Jones of Hammonsport, NY, a daughter and her husband Cheryl & Charles Brockett of Dolgeville, her adored grandchildren Dr's Chris & Leisa Brockett of Saratoga, Scott Brockett of PA., Amy and Steve Billings of Dolgeville, Thomas & Laura Jones of Webster, NY and Michelle & Mark Hatfield of Holly, NY, her great Grandchildren Joshua Hatfield, Megan Hatfield, Sean Jones, Rachel Jones, Megan Brockett, Alex Brockett and Ainsley Billings. She was predeceased by her brothers Ken & Stan Spingler and a special sister Cora Ellis. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family on Monday November 26, 2012 at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Salisbury Rural Cemetery.
