Mrs. Carol Ann (Barnes) Johnson 66 of the Valley View Courts, Little Falls, a former Dolgeville resident, died Thursday December 6, 2012 at Bassett Hospital Cooperstown after a brief illness. Carol was born in Little Falls, on September 22, 1946 the daughter of Grace (VanGorder) Barnes and the late David Barnes and was educated in Dolgeville schools. She was employed for many years at the former Daniel Green Shoe Company of Dolgeville until they closed and most recently employed by the Little Falls Hospital in the housekeeping Department, until she retired due to her health. Her family will always remember her great sense of humor and the quality time she spent with her children and especially her "Grand Babies" who brought Joy into her life. She is survived by her Mother Grace Barnes of Middleville, a son and her daughters, Jason and his wife Karen Johnson of Caroga Lake, Rhonda and her husband Brian Derkay of Hillsville, Virginia, Carrie and her husband Rob Parese and Jodie and her husband Tony Crews both of Little Falls, her brothers David Barnes of Stratford and Shawn Barnes of Dolgeville, her sisters Patricia Barnes of Stratford, Linda Hawkins of Ilion, Debbie Barnes of Dolgeville and Robin George of Little Falls, her Grand Babies Brian Jr., Courtney, Rebecca, Katelyn, Brianna, Mavrick, Levi, Jason Jr., Hannah, Tucker her great granddaughters Morgan and Kaylee, several Nieces and Nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday December 15, 2012 at 1PM in the Curtis Cemetery, town of Salisbury. Rev. Diane E. DiLuzio pastor of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church will officiate. There are No Calling hours. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brian A.
