Obituary of Michaela M. Wright-Fresco
ILION - Michaela "Mich" M. Wright-Fresco, age 41, of Second St., Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford.
She was born on August 8, 1971, in Wiesbaden, Germany, the daughter of John and Heidi (Findling) Wright. She graduated from Northern Burlington High School in New Jersey, and attended East Stroudsberg Community College in PA. On October 4, 2003, she was married to Francis Fresco, at Sts. Anthony & Joseph Church, Herkimer. Mich was employed as a Support Associate at Planned Parenthood, Mohawk/Hudson in Utica for twenty years. At one time, she was employed as a secretary at C. J. Applegate & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, Ilion. Mich loved animals, especially her pets, Trixie, Layla, Rony and Shadow. She enjoyed shopping and lunches with her Mom and Wednesday night dinners with her Dad.
Survivors include her husband, Fran; her parents, John and Heidi Wright, of Ilion; her sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Bill Rupp, of Montgomery, Alabama; her aunt, Ulrike Findling, of Germany; her aunt and uncle, Dennis and Christine Jones, of Ilion; her cousins, Eric Jones and his wife, Maura Harrington, of Stuyvescent Falls, NY, Heather Gay, of Ilion, Adam Jones and his wife, Dawn, of Schenectady; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Bernice and Richard Wright, and Hanni and Willi Findling.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Deacon James Bower, of the Church of the Annunciation, officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
Calling hours are Tuesday, December 11, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., prior to the funeral home service.
