HERKIMER - Timothy "Tim" S. Fernalld, Sr., age 53, of Dorf St., Herkimer, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at home, with his family by his side. He was born on December 13, 1959, in Ilion, the son of Arthur and Shirley (Barger) Fernalld and graduated from New Hartford Central High School. In September 1996, he was married to Susan Capalupo in New York Mills, NY. Tim was employed as a grounds supervisor at the Masonic Home, Utica, for twenty-three years. He later worked as grounds supervisor at Herkimer Central School District for the past eight years. Survivors include his wife, Sue; his children, Timothy Fernalld, Jr., and Sarah Fernalld; his brothers, Brian Fernalld and his wife, Pun Ye, and Dale Fernalld; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Angelo and Harriet Capalupo; his step-children, Marisa Lagares, Nicholas Zegarelli and his wife, Tricia; his uncle, Square Byard; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Deacon James Bower officiating. Calling hours are Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the funeral home service.
