Obituary of Frank Peckay

LITTLE FALLS: Frank J. Peckay, 83, a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown with the love and support of his family. Frank was born in Little Falls on January 19, 1930, the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Posetta) Peckay. He was educated in Little Falls Schools and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in The United States Army in Germany. On April 16, 1955 in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia A. O'Hara; the couple sharing 58 years of commitment, love and mutual respect. Frank worked for over 40 years as a tool and dye maker for General Electric, Utica. He was a member of the Ilion Elks Lodge and Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Frank was passionate about life, horses, wildlife and the love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his sons, Fran Peckay of Buffalo, Thomas Peckay and wife Tiffiny of Ilion; his daughters, Elaine Peterson of Fayetteville, Barb Weber and husband Leon of Sandwich, MA; his cherished grandchildren, Ashley and Abigail Weber, Garrett and Elizabeth Peterson and Sara Peckay; his in-laws, Charlie and Barb O'Hara of Little Falls and Dolores Peckay of Herkimer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Peckay; a sister, Mildred Diodati and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Peckay. In keeping with Frank's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A memorial mass will take place at Holy Family Parish, Little Falls in the spring at a date and time to be announced. The family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY (315)823-2424 and they are under the direction of Harry J. Enea, Jr.
