Obituary of Aldine C. Kopanski

Little Falls: Mrs. Aldine C. Kopanski, 84, a longtime Little Falls resident, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. Aldine was currently residing at the Martin Luther Nursing Home in Clinton, NY. Mrs. Kopanski was born on July 19, 1928 in Sebewaing, Michigan, a daughter of the late Herman and Ida (Haag) Bolzman. She was educated in Michigan schools. Aldine and Stephen Kopanski were married in June 1949 in Michigan, and then moved to Little Falls, enjoying thirty-seven years together, until Stephen's passing in 1986. She was employed with Salada Foods many years ago and waitressed in local restaurants, but spent the major part of her years in Little Falls taking care of her home and family. Mrs. Kopanski was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Little Falls, and was a member of the Adult Fellowship group and the Altar Guild. Above all else, Aldine loved her family and her church. She is survived by her son Daniel Kopanski and his wife Kristine of New Hampshire; daughters, Debra Ann Murdock and her husband Brad of Marcy and Mara Hans and her husband Peter of Long Island; a brother, Kenneth Bolzman and his wife Ruth of Michigan; and her beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Gregory Kopanski, Stephen Murdock, and Tyler and Jake Hans. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Irene Bolzman of Michigan, Patti Kopanski of Utica, and Annabelle Bolzman, also of Michigan; along with many nieces and nephews. Aldine was predeceased by her husband, Stephen; a daughter, Karen Rogers; brothers, Maurice, Howard, Vern, and Floyd; and sisters, Edna, Helen, and Alice. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls. Aldine's funeral will be conducted by Vicar Christen Fawcett on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 am in Christ Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in the spring in Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Aldine's family would like to acknowledge the excellent care that she received at Lutheran Care, Clinton.
