Obituary of Jennie M. Hamm

Jennie M. Hamm, 92, of E. Main Street, Frankfort, passed away peacefully, Monday February 25, 2013, at her residence, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 20, 1920, in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Favat Internicola and was a graduate of Frankfort High School, Class of '40. In 1975, Jennie married Bradford Hamm in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Hamm passed away in 1986. Mrs. Hamm has been a lifelong resident of Frankfort. For many years, Jennie was a seamstress for various dress shops throughout the Mohawk Valley. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. Jennie was past president and past secretary of the ILGWU, member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens and the Columbian Federation. Jennie had a wonderful talent for doing arts and crafts and truly enjoyed spending her time crocheting and sewing. She had an undying love for her family and loved them dearly. Jennie will be deeply missed by her family and friends and her memories will be held forever in their hearts. Jennie is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Sal and Clemmie Vivacqua of Frankfort, Charles and Lisa Vivacqua of Clifton Park, Mark and Michelle Vivacqua of Utica and James and Joan Garcia Vivacqua of Ashburn, VA; her great nephews and spouses, Charles and Tracy Vivacqua, Jeremy and Jessica Vivacqua, Nathan Vivacqua and Maxwell Vivacqua; her great great nephews, Tyler, Alexander and Connor Vivacqua. She was predeceased by her brothers early in life, Joseph Internicola and Joseph Internicola and her sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Internicola and Theresa and Sal Vivacqua. Jennie's funeral will commence on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 9:45 a.m from the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, Town of Frankfort and 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Apostle Church, Frankfort, where her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Leo Potvin who will be assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be held in the spring in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 (Today) from 5-8 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home. The Young at Heart Senior Citizens are asked to gather at the funeral home for a 5:30 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to kindly consider donations, in Jennie's memory, to the Faxton Regional Cancer Research Center, 1676 Sunset Ave, Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
