Obituary of Barbara J. Jeck

UTICA- Mrs. Barbara J. Jeck, 57, of Jay St., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born on January 21, 1956, in Utica, daughter of Clyde and Mary (Reardon) Osborn. On March 26, 1976 she was united in marriage with Kenneth R. Jeck. Their loving union lasted almost 25 years until his passing on January 18, 2001. Barbara was a customer service representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in Oriskany, NY. Survivors include her two cherished sons: Jeremy Jeck and his girlfriend Catherine Ellis and her daughter Darien Ellis , Jeremy's sons Kenneth and Ryan Jeck and their mother Tabaitha , & Joshua Jeck and his wife Katy and their son Braden. Barb also leaves behind two soon to be born grandchildren; her mother in law Violet Louisey Jeck, her brother in law Robert Jeck and his wife Marsha; her sisters Janet Scalzo and her boyfriend Steven Kehrli,, Helen Smith and her husband Jimmy, Sandra Varian and her husband John and Patricia Brown and her husband Ed; two godsons: Matthew Scalzo and Kenny Williams, numerous nieces and nephews, a special niece Connie Drake, and a special companion Philly Montana who predeceased Barb but leaves behind his wonderful daughters: Marissa and Gina. Barbara also leaves behind her very close and special friend Teresa Montana . Barb's entire family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Teresa for being there for their sister. Barb really loved Teresa like she was one of her sisters. Barb will miss you the most. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion from 2-4pm on Saturday March 2,2013. A religious service will be held Saturday at 4pm at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating.
