Obituary of Sarah E. Morse

Sarah E. Peet Morse, 71, of Dolgeville and formerly of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, March 6, 2013 in Bassett Healthcare Center, Cooperstown, with her loving family by her side , following a brief illness. She was born on June 10, 1941, in Little Falls, to the late Lester and Anna Arndt Peet and attended Little Falls schools. Sarah was currently employed as a greeter at Wal-Mart, Inc., Herkimer, where she took great pride in never missing a day. Sarah was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed spending her time cooking and baking especially all the specialty cookies she knew how to bake. She also took great pleasure in gardening. Sarah's greatest of joy of life was her grandchildren and sharing many memories with them. Her warm love of life will be always missed by her family and friends, but always cherished. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Annamarie and William Prosser, Jr. of Mohawk and Robert and Jeanmarie Morse, Jr. of Souix City, IA; her grandchildren, Taylor Morse and his fiancée Quinn Jorgensen of Souix City, IA, Caitlyn and Cordell Prosser of Mohawk; her great grandson, Liam Morse of Souix City, IA; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Robert Congdon of Little Falls, Rosette Austin of Herkimer, Katherine and Bruce Balderston of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Eva Peet of Dolgeville; her brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Bernadette Peet of Oppenheim, Charles and Barbara Peet of Sprakers and Harold Peet of Little Falls; her uncle, Carl Stallman, Sr. of Little Falls; her aunts, Alicia Arndt of Nelliston and Dorothy Peet of Unadilla and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sarah was predeceased by her son Shane Robert Morse and her sister, Delores Austin. Sarah's funeral will commence 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, with Pastor Cathy Lee, officiating. Spring interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home. Contributions, in Sarah's memory, may be offer to The Friends of Bassett, 1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
