ILION - Teresa A. Moran, age 85, formerly of 58 John St., Ilion, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, with her loving family by her side. Our beautiful mother was welcomed home. We can only imagine the celebration that took place. Angels gathered and open arms welcomed her home. Mom was greeted by our dad, Eugene, our loving brother, Terry, her handsome grandson, Ryan Schults, her father and mother, Owen and Anna Mc Lane, and her sisters, Sally Finn and Mary Dennis, to name a few. Teresa was born on July 14, 1927, in Pittston, PA and graduated from St. John's School and Pittston High School. In 1947, she was married to Eugene "Gene" Moran in Pittston, PA. He died in 1984. At one time Mrs. Moran was employed at Sperry Rand Univac in Ilion and Utica and later worked at MDS, Herkimer. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation, Christian Women and Herkimer County Senior Citizens. Teresa loved to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Her favorite hobby was praying. Survivors include her children, Colleen Schults and her husband, Robert, of Ilion, Mary Reitz and her husband, John, of Ilion, and MSgt William P. Moran and Nikki Lorenz, of Milwaukee, WI; three grandchildren, Colleen Reitz, Cailey Moran, and Beth Kochinski; her great-grandson, Otto Rammer; her brother, Eugene Mc Lane and his wife, Rita, of Wilmington, DE; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends including Claudia Murray. Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, and 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are Monday, March 11, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
