Obituary of Tim A. Miles

STRATFORD-Mr. Tim A. Miles, 66, of Barnes Rd. passed away on March 9, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 19, 1946, in Gloversville, son of the late Olin and Louise (Belcher) Miles. On December 16, 1967 he was united in marriage with Susan Gotts in Dolgeville. They shared a loving union for over 45 years. Tim was a roofer at Weatherite Home Improvement Company in Dolgeville. Tim loved the Lord, his family and the simple things in life.He prayed to the Lord right until the end. He was a Jack of All Trades and a great carpenter. Tim loved the outdoors, fishing and his old model cars. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Sue; his beloved daughters; Teresa Bouchard and her husband John of Newport and Michele Bliss and her husband Ray of Stratford; his cherished grandchildren; Corinne Bouchard, Hannah Bouchard, Flynn Bliss and Sydney Bliss; his loving brother Willy Miles and his wife Tammy; a loving sister Bonnie Sowizdral and her husband Jim; a sister Barbara Markwardt and her husband Mike; a sister in law Penny Miles; and many neices, nephews and cousins; his best friends Dick and Connie VanLaer and Jean and Glen Lamphere and their family as well as many other special friends to many to name individually. He was predeceased by his brother Orville Miles. In keeping with Tim's wishes there are no calling hours. A memorial celebration to remember the life of Tim Miles will be held at 1pm Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Stratford with Pastor Martin P. Smith officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to a gathering to remember Tim at the Stratford Town Hall immediately following the memorial celebration. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Tim's name to be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church P.O. Box 114, Stratford, NY 13470. Envelopes will be available at the church. The family would also like to express a special thank you to the staff at Nathan Littauer Rehabilitation Center; especially Rhonda and Barb for the many years of love and kindness they have shown Tim and his family.
