Obituary of Ann M. Bubb

ILION-MOHAWK - Ann M. Bubb, age 94, of Prindle Apts., Ilion, formerly of Walnut St., Mohawk, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born on September 5, 1918, in Ilion, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Kissel) Stasco and graduated from Ilion High School in 1936. On September 2, 1940, she was married to Samuel A. Bubb in Ilion. He died on May 20, 1988. At one time, Ann was an office manager at W.T. Grant Co., Ilion. She later owned and operated Bubb's Dairy in Spinnerville with her husband for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1983. Mrs. Bubb was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk and its Altar Rosary Society, Ilion Council of Catholic Women, AARP and Mohawk Valley Businesswomen. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jean Purdy and husband, Michael, of Pottstown, PA, and Kathleen Lamprich, of Fort Mill, SC; four sons, Robert Bubb, of Mohawk, Wayne Bubb and his wife, Janice, of Fort Mill, SC, John Bubb and his wife, Jody, of Ilion, and Peter Bubb, of California; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley (Bubb) Kroll; her parents; her sister, Mary Wells; and her brothers, Michael, John, Joseph, Robert and Steven Stasco. Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, and 10:00 a.m., at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Mark Cunningham, Sacramental Minister, assisted by Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, E. Herkimer, NY. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
