Herkimer - Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth Doxtader, 54, lifelong resident of Herkimer, passed away peacefully, Sunday April 21, 2013, in the Bassett Healthcare Center, Cooperstown, with her loving and dedicated family at her side. She was born on November 21, 1958 in Herkimer, the daughter of Dr. Patricia Dunning Doxtader and the late John Doxtader. Peggy was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer where she participated in the church choir for many years. She attended the Herkimer ARC and earned many bowing and swimming awards. Peggy was also recognized for volunteering over a hundred hours at the Little Falls Hospital. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with them, especially camping at Raquette Lake every year. Peggy is survived by her mother, Patricia; her siblings and in-laws, Janice and Silvio Zinicola of Gainesville, VA, Mary and Joseph Burdick of Herkimer, Therese and William Susino of Alton, John and Kathleen Doxtader of Hurley, Daniel Doxtader of Herkimer, Timothy and Amie Doxtader of Otego, Thomas and Linda Doxtader of Utica, and Jacqueline Doxtader of Oneida; her nieces and nephews, Mary Anne and Michael Brelinsky of Humble, TX, William and Arianne Susino of Niagara, Kathleen and Jesse Buxton of Angleton, TX, Nina and Nathan Smith of Ashburn, VA, Dominic and Gina Susino of Long Beach, Dr. Christopher and Dr. Katie Burdick of Shreveport, LA, Todd Zinicola of Reston, VA, Dr. Erika Doxtader and Dr. Sanjay Mukhopadyhyay of Camilius, Jennifer and Jett Linn of Seattle, WA, Ryan Doxtader of Athen, TN, Cheryl and Chad Guenot of Seneca Falls, Jocelyn and Shawn Flynn of Canastota, Daniel and Stephanie Burdick of Oswego, Erin and Matthew Cotton of Herkimer, Sarah and Jason Intondi of Canastota, Brian Doxtader of Watertown, MA, David and Erin Doxtader of Glendale, AZ, Ashleigh Doxtader of Otego, Lindsey Doxtader of Oneota, Karina Ellis of Otego, Mikaela Ellis of Otego, Courtney Doxtader of Utica, Alicia Allen of Oneonta, and James Doxtader of Hurley; her aunts and uncle, Margaret Hall of Herkimer and Dr. Francis and Angela Dunning of Herkimer; her twenty six great nieces and great nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by her father, John on December 29, 1989 and her brother, Paul on August 17, 2012. Her funeral prayer service will commence 9:15 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 from the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street and then 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer, where her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Mark Cunningham, Pastor. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest with her father. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home.
