Obituary of Hazel Pearl

ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Hazel Pearl, 96, a resident of St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center since 2005 passed away on May 17, 2013 at the facility. She was born on May 21, 1916, in Little Falls, daughter of the late Willis and Carrie Gray. On May 23, 1931 she was united in marriage with Jesse Pearl. Their loving union lasted 57 years until his passing on July 22, 1988. Hazel was baptized on February 23, 1963 and was a devout Jehovah Witness who talked to people about the Bible. She was very close and very protective of her entire family especially her grandson Randy. Hazel was a very hospitable person. She enjoyed going to garage sales, music and the color red. She was an excellent cook. She loved making pancakes which her family enjoyed tremendously. Survivors include her son Leroy Pearl and his wife Carol of St. Johnsville; her daughter Deborah Smith and her husband Ronald of Oppenheim; her daughter in law Violet Pearl; her grandchildren: Randy Pearl, Jessica Seaman, Richard Pearl, Jeff Pearl, Brenda Gray, David Smith andCheryl Zwickel; her great grandchildren: David, Mellissa, Jeremy, Richard, Todd, Tiffany, Brittany, Noah, Kaylee and Reina ; her 8 great great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughters: Elnora Snyder, Becky Pearl and Betty Pearl and by her son Raymond Pearl. In keeping with her wishes there are no calling hours. A religious service will take place at 2pm on Friday May 31, 2013 at the Dolgeville Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah Witnesses, 679 Brockett Rd.Dolgeville (off Rte 167) with David Tarbox officiating.
