Obituary of Marjorie M Reno

Marjorie M. Reno, 94, of Mohawk, Town of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, Sunday May 19, 2013, in the Presbyterian Home of CNY, New Hartford, with her loving family at her side. She was born on September 4, 1918, in Malone, the daughter of the late Ernest and Edith LeClair Hatfield. Marjorie was a graduate of the BOCES School of Nursing. She has spent the greater part of her life living in the Little Falls area. On September 1, 1944, Marjorie married Michael Reno in St. Mary's Church in Little Falls. Mr. Reno passed away on February 14, 1992. Prior to her retirement, Marjorie worked for many years at Little Falls Hospital as a LPN. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Marjorie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved being around her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family and her yearly trips to Florida. Marjorie especially enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends and going to the casinos. Marjorie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. and Shelly Reno of Oswego; her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and William Schmidt of Mohawk, Michele and Earl Baker of Ilion, JoAnne and Jerry Sohns of Mohawk and Mary Beth and Pat Dugan of Baldwinsville; her twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and another great grandchild expected in July; her in-laws; Edward Carpineti and Evelyn Vope; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers; Buck Hatfield and Bert Hatfield and her sister, Joan Carpineti and her sister-in-law, Blanche Hatfield. Her funeral services will commence on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 10:15 a.m. from the Chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 Monroe Street, Little Falls and 11 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, where Her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Thomas Lawless, Pastor. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Little Falls, The family has asked to kindly consider contributions, in Marjorie's memory, to the Presbyterian Home of CNY, Cedar Wing, 4290 Middle Settlement Road, PO Box 1144, New Hartford, 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
