Obituary of Colin Stowell

Colin P. "Colie" Stowell 68 of 1047 Olsen Road St. Johnsville , Town of Oppenheim, died Wednesday evening June 26, 2013 in Little Falls Hospital after an extended illness. Colin was born in Little Falls on December 28, 1944 the son of the late Russell and Clarida (Aubin) Stowell and attended Oppenheim Schools. Colie as he was known enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in July of 1966 and due to his health was honorably discharged in August of 1966. He was a truck driver for Obreza Trucking of Mohawk for many years retiring several years ago. Colin was a member of the Oppenheim Methodist Church and the Local Teamster Union. He is survived by a son Luke Stowell of Herkimer, two sisters Cheryl Howe with whom he lived and Carolee and her husband Dean DePiazza of Dolgeville, several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews including Karen Andriola of Bleeker, NY and special cousin Doug Stowell and Pam Lamphere of Oppenheim. Funeral; services with Military Honors will be held Saturday July 6th, 2013 at 10AM at the Oppenheim Methodist Church rt. 29 Oppenheim. Rev. James Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Dolgeville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are No calling hours. His arrangements are entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
