Obituary of William Warner
FLORIDA-LITTLE FALLS: William "Bill" W. Warner, 44, of Wimauma,FL and formerly of Little Falls, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle racing accident.
Bill was born in Little Falls on February 11, 1969, the son of Jean A. (Pocentyluk) Warner and the late Walter R. Warner. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School and also received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tampa, Tampa, FL in Marine Biology. Living in Florida for the last 26 years, Bill was the owner and operator of Warner Aquatic Resources and Wild Bros. Racing in Wimauma, FL.
Bill has 27 Land Speed Records, including fastest motorcycle in the world at 311.945mph world's fastest motorcycle speed record. Bill is a member of the East Coast Timing Association, 200MPH Club, 250MPH Club; Loring Timing Association 200MPH club, 300 MPH Club; Texas Mile 200MPH Club; Bonneville SCTA & BUB 200MPH Club; Mojave Mile 200MPH Club; The only member of the 300MPH Club LTA; American Motorcycle Association. Bill was a determined individual; he set his goals in life and worked hard and long toward achieving each one.
Bill is survived by his mother, Jean Ann Warner of Little Falls; a brother, Raymond Warner of Little Falls; a sister, Gail Warner Starring and husband Robert of Salt Lake City, Utah; a nephew, Garret Starring; nieces, Sarah and Jennie Starring; aunts and uncles, Russell and Kathleen Windecker, Paul and Nora Warner , Allen and Eileen Warner; his girlfriend, Lori Engstrom Winner, several cousins and many racing community friends that were his land-speed racing family in the United States and Canada.
He was predeceased by his father, Walter Warner.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY (315)823-2424 on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 4:00-700 p.m. Bill's funeral service will commence on Saturday, July 20, 2013 beginning with prayer at 8:45 a.m. from the chapel of the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, corner of Main/John Streets, Little Falls, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Reverend Thomas Lawless, Pastor. Procession will then follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, where he will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express an act of kindness may make a donation to the William W. Warner Memorial Fund, c/o Jean A. Warner, 91 Burwell Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
