ORISKANY - Kim Marie Jacobs, age 49, of Oriskany, NY, passed away, following a courageous battle, on Wednesday evening, September 11, 2013 at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by the love of her family. Kim was born on December 2, 1963 in Syracuse, a daughter of Charles Brown and Barbara Jacobs Fitch. She attended Utica Free Academy, and at one time, lived in the Frankfort area. She was currently employed by the Oriskany School District, and previously at Waterbury Felt Company in Oriskany. Kim was of the Catholic faith. Kim was an avid traveler and enjoyed many camping trips. She loved animals, especially horses, and often went to Vernon Downs. Kim is survived by her beloved companion of over 20 years, Brian Lindfield, her step-daughters who loved her as their mother, Stacy and Michelle Lindfield and LeeAnn Sherwood; along with her favorite little ones, who affectionately referred to her as Momma, Tessa Reynolds and Tyler Windover. She also leaves her adored grandchildren, Justin Larmon and Madison Sherwood; her devoted aunt and uncle, Sharon and Jimmy Jacobs; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with special cousins, Cherie, Julie, and Jim; and her extended family, Norman, Tracy, Martin and Mary Jane Lindfield. She is also survived by her daughter, Jamie Lynn Piper; grandson, Nathan John Donlyuk and granddaughter, JaiLynn Felicity Rose Seelman; a sister, Karen (Brown) Serianni and her husband Ryan; brothers, Glenn G. Brown and his wife Dina and David A. Brown; and a cousin, Renee M. (Brown. She was predeceased by her grandparents, James and Doris Jacobs, and her stepfather, Ray Fitch. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road (Town of Frankfort), Ilion, NY. Her funeral will be conducted by Deacon James Bower of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, on Monday, September 16 at 10:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Champlain Avenue, Utica.
