Mrs. Susan Elizabeth Wainwright RN, FNP 61 of 33 Van Buren Street Dolgeville, died Sunday afternoon September 22nd, 2013 at her residence after an extended illness. She was comforted with the love and support of her family at the time of her passing. Sue was born in Little Falls, on April 9th, 1952 the daughter of Elizabeth "Betty" (Cool) Lamphere and the late Charles L. Lamphere. She was a graduate of Dolgeville High School class of 1970 and continued her education by graduating from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She also received her Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 1993. Sue was formerly married to Brian Sovis. Her marriage to George Wainwright took place on May 31st, 2003 in St. Johnsville, New York. George predeceased her on July 7, 2003. Susan was first employed by the Little Falls Hospital in the emergency room for over 22yeras before going to work in the Primary Care office in the Village of Dolgeville. She most recently was employed by the Tri County Medical Group in Dolgeville in the office of Dr. Michael Abraham until her illness forced her to retire in 2012. She was a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and personally enjoyed gardening both with flowers and vegetables, along with crocheting and reading. She was an avid "Gunsmoke" TV follower and enjoyed music by Frank Sinatra, Kenny Rogers and John Denver. She was also very proud of her family heritage of owning and operating the Cool Family Dairy Farm in the village of Dolgeville for several years. Surviving her is her Mother Betty Lamphere of Dolgeville, her sons and their wives Jason and Dawn Sovis and Chris and Alicia Sovis both of Dolgeville, a Brother and his wife Charles and Denise Lamphere of Dolgeville, her granddaughters Fila and Crimson Sovis and a very special cousin Bonnie Mamrosh of Dolgeville. She was predeceased by her Father in 1997 and a brother Bruce Lamphere in 2007. Funeral services will be held Thursday September 26, 2013 at 11 AM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Burial will follow in the Dolgeville Cemetery.
