SYRACUSE - FRANKFORT - Suzanne L. Douglas, age 46, went to be with her Lord and Savior this past Saturday morning September 28, 2013 after battling a long illness. She was born on November 5, 1966 in the town of North Syracuse and was a recent resident of Frankfort, NY. It was in Frankfort where Suzie was building and nurturing a home with her beloved fiancé Jack Grippe. Suzanne was a graduate of Liverpool High School and Bryant and Stratton College where she earned her degree in business. She spent many years working as a cosmetologist at La Belle Grande, a salon owned by her family. She later went on to open up her own salon, Suzanne's Touch of Class on Grant Boulevard in Syracuse, where she very much enjoyed working with her many clients. Suzanne was a warm and caring person who loved life, and sought to live every moment to the fullest. She loved her family and never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own. Suzie had a huge heart. She is survived by two daughters, Rachael Douglas and Rebecca Wisner; her fiancé, Jack Grippe, and his children Jacquelyn, Brent, Marisa, Jenna, and JJ; a sister, Mickey Peters (Sissy); her aunt, Cynthia Foren; uncle, James White; and four nieces and nephews. Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother and father, James Douglas and Carol White. She will be missed and remembered fondly by all those who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 2:00 until 6:00 pm at Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion (town of Frankfort).
