Obituary of Clara R. Krawczeski

Herkimer: Mrs. Clara (Rei) Krawczeski, originally from Herkimer; passed away peacefully September 30, 2013. Clara was born in Herkimer, a daughter of Antonio and Vincenza (Carroll) Rei, and resided there until marrying Richard Krawczeski, also from Herkimer, in 1961, and first moving to Norman, Oklahoma and then to Ohio, where she resided for the past 47 years. Clara was devoted to her immediate and extended family. A loving and caring wife, she was preceded in death by Richard. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (David) Wilhelm and her granddaughter, Clara's most cherished gift, Hailee, and her son Richard (Dr. Catherine) Krawczeski. She is also survived by her sisters, lifelong Herkimer residents: Mary (Werner) Buchmeier and Julia (Bill) Fifield. Numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, filled her days with joy and excitement. Clara was an active member of her church, as well as many other community organizations. Through this involvement and her love, she created a loving home for her family. Yet, to her, home was always Herkimer, where she has returned to rest peacefully alongside her husband, Richard, for eternity. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Reverend Thomas Lawless on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 9:30 AM in Sts. Anthony & Joseph Church, S. Main Street, Herkimer. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West German Street, Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest in the family plot beside her beloved Richard. Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Director, Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer (315-866-1011) is serving the family.
