Mohawk: Mrs. Sieglinde A. "Linde" Pratt, 80, of Ward Road, Town of German Flatts, passed away in Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care on Friday, October 25, 2013. Linde was born on July 8, 1933 in Bayreuth, Germany, a daughter of the late Albert and Hildegard (Schreiter) Mϋhlhäuser. She was educated in Germany and held an Associate's Degree in Accounting. She has resided in the United States since 1947. In 1952, she and John B. Pratt, Jr. were married, and they shared a loving and devoted union of 54 years until his passing on October 25, 2006. Mrs. Pratt was the manager of Herb Philipson's Army & Navy Store in Herkimer. She was a longtime member of the Lady ELKs. Linde is survived by her loving family: Robert J. Pratt of Mohawk, and Steven A. and his wife Suzanne Pratt of Johnstown; grandchildren: Victoria, Reid, Alexander, and Sarah; her brothers: Siegfried Mϋhlhäuser of CA, and Hans and his wife Erika Mϋhlhäuser of Germany; sisters-in-law: Myrta Sweet and Marguerite Bond, along with many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer. Pastor Bruce Workman will conclude the calling hours with a memorial prayer service. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, at the convenience of the family.
