Mohawk: Lillian B. Eddy, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Mohawk Valley Health Care Center, Ilion. Mrs. Eddy was born on February 25, 1928 in Herkimer, a daughter of the late Leon and Sophia (Burchycki) Baker. She was a lifelong area resident and was educated in Herkimer schools. She married Donald R. Shoemaker, who passed away in November 1973. She was later married to Vernon R. Eddy, who passed in 1986. Lillian was employed in the Accounting Department of Remington Arms Co., Ilion. She is survived by her loving sons and their wives, Jon and Georgia Shoemaker of Texas and Christopher and Lynne Shoemaker of Herkimer; grandchildren, Cory and Kayla Shoemaker; and her brothers, Donald and Cathy Baker of Long Island and Myron and Barbara Baker of South Carolina. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Lupinski. Mrs. Eddy's funeral arrangements, under the direction of Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Director, Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Committal will take place in Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Little Falls. Sincere gratitude goes out to the third floor staff of Mohawk Valley Health Care Center for the wonderful care and kindness extended to both Lillian and her family during her stay.
