MOHAWK: Richard Greenfield, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at home in Mohawk, NY. He was born on March 23, 1938, in Little Falls, NY, son of the late Rose Ross and Vincent Greenfield. In his life, Rich lived in many towns in the Valley, including Middleville, Little Falls, Herkimer and Mohawk. At one time, Rich was employed by Remington Arms and Herkimer Industries. Rich was a true fan of the NY Yankees and had a great love for children of all ages. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Greenfield and brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Mary Greenfield. Rich is survived by his sister, Marilyn Doyle of New Hartford; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Greenfield of Melbourne, FL; several nieces and nephews and many grand and great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank HARC and his extended "family" at Hillview in Mohawk for their care and support and years of friendship. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Rich's memory by attending a Memorial Mass on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Church, West Street, Ilion, NY, offered by the Reverend Paul Catena, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the HARC, PO Box 271, Herkimer, NY 13350, in Rich's memory.
