Obituary of Josephine Perritano

FRANKFORT: Josephine M. Perritano, 93, a lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Folts Home, Herkimer with the love and support of her family. Born in Frankfort, NY on May 4, 1920, Josephine was the daughter of the late Paul and Frances (Green) Seppi. She was educated in Frankfort Schools on April 7, 1945 she was married to Frank Perritano in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. The couple shared 47 years of love and mutual respect before Mr. Perritano's passing on December 18, 1992. Josephine worked at one time for Cooks Bakery of Herkimer as a baker. As a loving and very family- oriented mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, she enjoyed a special bond with her family and friends. She loved to have company and her door was always open and welcomed everyone into her home. Among many family traditions, she will be remembered for her baking and cooking and she will be sadly missed by her family. Josephine was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. Josephine is survived by her son, Anthony (Skip) Perritano and wife Nancy of Frankfort; her daughter, Francine Perritano of Frankfort; her cherished grandchildren, Toniann Edwards and husband Sam, Marcus Perritano and Melissa, Mike Perritano and Joseph Sudakow; her beloved great grandchildren, Jessica Quiles and husband Noel, Brittany Edwards, Samantha Edwards and Frankie Sudakow; her great great grandchildren, Lexi Brown and Alyssa Quiles; her sisters, Rosemarie Button and Joanne McShane and husband Don of Frankfort; her sister-in-law, Vicky Perritano of Utica and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Seppi and her sisters, Catherine Barretta and Carmen Casullo. A special thank you to daughter-in-law, Nancy Perritano and granddaughters, Jessica, Toniann and Brittany for all the care and love shown to Josephine during her time of need at home. The family would also like to thank Lucy Enea for the time spent sitting with Josephine and the 4th floor staff of Folts Home for their compassion and care given to her. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort in Josephine's memory; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315)894-8000. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Josephine's funeral service on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at 9:15 a.m. from the chapel of the funeral home and at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort Street, Frankfort where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated by The Reverend Paul Catena, Pastor, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank. The family is being cared for by Harry and Kevin Enea, Funeral Directors.
