Little Falls: Mrs. Clare Kerzic, 86, of Alexander Street and a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away in the comfort of her daughter's home in Slingerlands, NY on New Year's morning, January 1, 2014. Clare was born on August 20, 1927 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Dominick and Angelina (Alessandrini) Marocco. She attended Little Falls schools and was a Graduate, Class of 1945. She then attended the Eastman Dental Dispensary in 1946. She was employed for many years as a Dental Hygienist in Little Falls. In 1952, she and John Kerzic were married in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls, and shared a loving and devoted union of 57 years until his passing on January 22, 2009. Mrs. Kerzic was a faithful communicant of Holy Family Parish Church and a member of its Rosary Society. Blessed with a kind spirit and a call to community service, she volunteered her time at Catholic Charities. Clare was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and her loving family mourns her passing: a son, Gary Kerzic of Nyskayuna; daughters, Linda Hensel and her husband Steve of Voorheesville, Cindy Wydysh and her husband Gordon of Holland Patent, and Carole Kerzic and her husband Michael Ampela, with whom she currently resided, of Slingerlands. She also leaves her adored grandchildren, Stephen and Christopher Hensel, Jared and Cory Wydysh, and a step-grandson, Bret Wydysh; a sister, Antonetta Schaffer of Herkimer; a sister-in-law, Doris Marocco of Little Falls; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John; daughter-in-law, Laura (Halpin) Kerzic; her parents, Dominick and Angelina Marocco; sisters, Amelia Collis and Lydia Krutz; and her brother, Lawrence Marocco. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls. Clare's funeral will begin with a prayer service at 10:15 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
