Canajoharie: Patty Barnes McAllister, 65, originally from Canajoharie, NY, passed away December 26, 2013 after a short, but valiant battle with cancer. Born April 9, 1948 in Amsterdam, NY, she was predeceased by her parents, Maurice Barnes and Gloria Ambridge Barnes, her son Peter Salamone IV and her late husband Richard McAllister. Patty was a long time employee at the Fort Plain Central School District. After retiring she moved to Saratoga Springs and recently relocated to TX to be with her daughter and her family. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Salamone Mormile, grandsons; Nicholas, Matthew and Christian Mormile, brothers; Ed, Bill, Kevin and Bernie Barnes as well as one sister Sandra Barnes, several nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved pets: Lexie (dog) and Roger (cat). We will be celebrating her life with a Memorial Service for friends and family on January 4, 2014 @ 1:00pm at the Canajoharie Firehouse - 75 Erie Blvd., Canajoharie, NY 13317.
