Obituary of John Mamrosh

Mr. John A. Mamrosh 63 of 65 West State Street Dolgeville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 21st, 2014 in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown after a very brief illness. John was born in Little Falls, New York on September 19, 1950 the son of the late John and Fernabelle (Francisco) Mamrosh and was educated in Oppenheim schools. A veteran of the Viet Nam War John served honorably in the United State Army from March 1968 until he was discharged on March 13, 1971 with the rank of SP4. He earned the following medals for his service, National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Medal, 2 OS Bars, he was an expert with the M-14 & M-16 Rifle and a Sharp Shooter with the M-16. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Wilson on April 1st, 1972 in the Methodist Church in Salisbury Center, New York. John was employed by LaSalle Labs in Little Falls, retiring from there in 2005 after an injury. A family man John loved to camp in the Adirondacks with his family and be with his grandchildren, he enjoyed being on the computer especially on "Face book" with his friends, along with a special fondness for dogs. He also had an appreciation for "Old Cars". He is survived by his wife Bonnie of 41 years, His sons Jonathan and (Michele) Mamrosh of Syracuse, Shannon and (Bernadette) Mamrosh of Ilion, a Daughter Veronica and (Tommy) Campione of Little Falls, His Brothers Michael and (Carole) Mamrosh and James and (Ruth) Mamrosh both of Dolgeville, his Sisters Doreen Borrelli of Florida and Joann Mamrosh of Dolgeville, His grandchildren Nathan, Melanie, Alyssa, David, Josh and Zac. Additional Nieces and Nephews especially Natasha and her daughter Amelya. He was predeceased by a brother Donald on May 14, 2007. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 25, 2014 at 11 AM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Burial will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in the spring at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral Home.
