Obituary of Stephen Hart

Mr. Stephen Orrin Hart 86 of 116 State Rt 29A Salisbury Center, died Saturday morning January 25th, 2014 at Faxton-St. Lukes Hospital, town of New Hartford, after a brief illness. He was born in the town of Oppenheim on June 28, 1927 the son of the late Harold and Christina (Crowell) Hart and was educated in Dolgeville schools. He continued his education by taking individual college courses throughout his earlier life. A Veteran of World War II he served honorably in the United States Navy. His marriage to the former Jane Shanahan took place on March 12th, 1946 in Salisbury, New York. Mrs. Hart predeceased him on February 13, 2013. Mr.Hart was a machinist for the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company for over 25 years retiring from there several years ago. He was a member of the Curtis Cornerstone Chapel in Salisbury, a former Boy Scout Leader and was known by his family and friends as a handyman who could fix anything. He also enjoyed painting pictures of animals and landscapes. He is survived by his Children and their families- Daughter Patricia Barnes and her family, Paul & Christine Barnes, their children, Paul III, Michael, Lexi, Richard & Shannon Barnes and their Children Chastity, Hunter, Braxton, Jacqueline Barnes and Companion George Ost and their children-Jocelyn, Johnny & Braelyn Bellinger, Erin Manley, Cheri & Shannon Hyney, Derek , Kirsten & Cody- A Daughter and her husband Priscilla & Scott Jarman of Houston, Texas and their families, David Voorhees and his children Trett, Drew, Dylan, Christian & Tiffany Voorhees and their children Tyler, Parker, Jared, Kenzie, Caleb & Zach, Sarah & Jay Romaine and their family Orrin, Izzy, Paxton, Cruiz, Joshua and Jessica Jarman and their daughter Madyx- A SON and his wife Stephen & Debbie Hart of St. Johnsville and their families Brenda Hart, Amanda & Josh Nauroth, Christina Hart, Jose Alvarado, Stephanie Hart, Trinity Oliphant, Lahina Stine, & Louise Campbell. Several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Hart, Sister & Brother in laws-Gertrude & Archie Foster, Clara Noonan & Waneta & John Tripp, and brothers in law James ,Jack & Francis Shanahan, his Mother in law Effie Shanahan , a Granddaughter Shawna Voorhees and a son in law Paul Barnes Sr.. He also leaves a very special niece Pip Noonan and a special friend Pat Jaquay. Friends may call at his residence 116 Rt 29 A Salisbury Center, NY on Wednesday January 29th, 2014 from 2-7 PM to meet with his family.
