Obituary of Esther R Feliciano

FRANKFORT - Esther R. Feliciano, age 71, a resident of Frankfort Street in Frankfort, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Folts Homes of Herkimer. She was born on July 11, 1942 in Utica, NY, a daughter of the late Vito and Iva (Stefanini) Distante and was educated in Utica schools. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School, Class of 1960. She was united in marriage to Charles A. Feliciano who died July 6, 2013. She worked at Broadacres Nursing Home in Utica and went on to work with the House of Good Shepherd of Utica where she retired as a secretary. Esther enjoyed her camp at the St. Lawrence River at King's Point very much. Her greatest pleasure was her excitement while fishing and the anticipation over a small or large fish. She also loved her dog "Willie" who looked so much like the dog on television Benji. She is survived by her children, Robert LaBella (Mary Ellen) of Herkimer, James LaBella and wife, Patricia, of Marcy, Liza LaMay, of Utica, and Lori Green (Richard) of Utica; her siblings, a brother Samuel Distante, of Webster, NY; sisters, Karen Collins (Mike), of Ilion, and Rosanne Distante, of Rochester; Grandchildren, Bobby, Theresa, Danielle, Anthony, Stephanie, Johnna, Adreana, Andrew, Jessica, Michelle, and John; several nieces, nephews cousins; and her aunt, Jenny Brown, of Clinton who was very close with Esther. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Jellencich. Funeral services will be held on Saturday evening March 15, 2014 at 6:00 PM at The Enea Family Funeral Home 4309 Acme Road (Town of Frankfort), Ilion, NY with the Reverend Jeanne Klumbalek, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Utica officiating. Spring interment will take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort, NY. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Saturday two hours prior to the service, 4 until 6 PM.
