I have known Frank for many years, long before I joined the Ladies Aux or the Fire Corps at the FD. Frank worked as a maintenance man at my apartment complex back in the early 1990's. A former tenant of the complex had grown up and become CEO of a sporting goods outlet. He sent gifts for the children of the complex to be handed out at Christmas one year. Frank dressed up as Santa and handed out the toys, games, and various related items. You could tell he was genuinely enjoying this particular "task". Frank always had a smile and friendly banter to the tenants. I would get to know Frank more as I entered into the Mohawk FD "family". He will be sadly missed. My condolences to all of Frank's loved ones and friends.

I remember many nights between the two places on Michigan St. growing up with Jason. All of the guys hanging out, Murph, Slack, Eric, Josh, Joe, Jason, and myself. Pulling all nighters, and then sleeping during the day, playing any number of video games, Star Wars Monopoly, or Risk at the dining room table. Frank and Donna watching TV rooting for the Bills. They'd always have the pantry stocked for "their kids" with snacks, frozen Swann's pizzas, Pizzarios, and Mountan Dew! Frank would always be there for advice, or to steer us in a better direction. As the years passed, the group moved all over the place. I myself joined the Marines, and I even received a few letters from them while at boot camp with encouraging words to keep pushing. Every time Frank saw me after that, he'd get the biggest smile on his face. Ask how I was, where life had taken me since the last time we'd seen each other, and eventually got to meet my daughter. I'll miss his smile, his character, and one of the kindest hearts I've ever known. He truly was like a second father figure to me through the years and even more, a dear friend. I'll miss you, Frank.
