ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Mathea Jarosienski age 90 of 7490 State Highway 5, St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 13, 2014 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born on February 17, 1924 in St. Johnsville, the daughter of the late Fred and Jenny (Galinski) Yarush. She was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School and lived her entire life in this area. Her marriage to George E. Jarosienski took place on September 23, 1945 at St. Patrick's Parish House in St. Johnsville. The couple shared in a blessed union of nearly 56 years until the passing of George on June 16, 2001. She was of the Catholic faith and last worked with Life Savers of Canajoharie. Survivors include two sons: Gary E. Jarvis of St. Johnsville and David Jarosienski of Saratoga, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and two brothers Henry and Robert Yarush. A private graveside funeral service will be held at the family plot in St. Johnsville Cemetery. There are NO calling hours.
