ILION - VIRGINIA - Mr. Thomas C. Janes, age 65, passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday January 15, 2014. He was born on September 13, 1948 in Ilion. Thomas was predeceased by two little angels, Justin T. Matthie and Sarah M. O'Connor. He is survived by his four daughters: Elizabeth and Christopher Matthie of Virginia; Andrea and Jim Rende of Ilion; Christy and William Kaples of Mohawk and Jessica and Daryl O'Connor of Richfield Springs. He is also survived by many grandchildren whom he loved: Kaitlyn and Andrew Matthie of Virginia; Justin and Jarred Price, Faith, Jaide and Hope Rende all of Ilion; Zachary Janes - Yero and Johnathen Kaples of Mohawk; and Thomas, Ethan, and Paige O'Connor of Richfield Springs. He is also survived by the mother of his children and longtime friend Deborah DeRocher and many more friends. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, Herkimer, NY on Tuesday June 24th 2014 from 1 until 3PM.
