Obituary of Vivian E Provorse

LITTLE FALLS/ILION: Vivian E. Provorse, 92, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Mohawk Valley Health Care Center with her family by her side. Born in Little Falls, NY on February 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Effie (Allen) Provorse. Raised and educated locally, she attended Little Falls Schools and at one time worked for the Daniel Green Shoe Company in Dolgeville. Although she could be feisty at times, Vivian was a very generous individual and would do anything for anybody. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren and spending time with them was most important to her. In her leisure time, she enjoyed picking blue berries and butter nuts. She is survived her children, Donna Wyant and husband Chris of Florida, Robin Horender and husband Gary of Little Falls, Gordon Provorse and wife Rosemarie of Ilion, Sharon Snyder of Ilion and Debra Brandt and husband George of Little Falls; her 19 cherished grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Allan Null; her brothers, Howard and Charles and a sister Viola. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 10: 00-11:00 a.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY (315)823-2424. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Procession will then follow to Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills where Vivian will be laid to rest. The family is be cared for by Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors.
