Arthur William Dykeman 45 of 1482 State Route 29 Little Falls, Town of Salisbury, died unexpectedly Saturday May 10th, 2014 at his residence of natural causes. Art was born in Little Falls, NY on March 26, 1969 the son of Linda (Jaikin) Dykeman and the late David A. Dykeman and attended Dolgeville Schools. Art was a self employed carpenter working throughout the area on many different projects. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing motorcycles, and camping with his family and friends. Surviving is his Mother Linda Dykeman of Little Falls, his Brother David (Melissa) Dykeman of Salisbury Center, his sisters Brenda (Richard) Kubecka of Mohawk, Elizabeth (Paul) Randall of Dolgeville, Christine (Dennis) Newbrough of Florida, Crystal Davis of Dolgeville, Teresa (Davis) Vokins of Salisbury, his children Brittney (Elwin) Sutton and their daughter Olivia Sutton of Little falls, Brittney Elliot of North Carolina, his step Children George Jones of little Falls, Rebecka Jones of Albany, His long time Companion Emma Vokins of Salisbury, a close Friend "Heffy", several Nieces and Nephews, his canine companions Buffy, Missy and runner. He was predeceased by his father David A. Dykeman on July 14, 2003. Graveside services will be held Saturday May 17th, 2014 at 3PM in the Brown Cemetery, Town of Oppenheim. Pastor Rodney Congdon of the Curtis Cornerstone Chapel will officiate. There are NO Calling hours. Memorials may be sent to the Salisbury Fire Department in his memory.
