HERKIMER-ILION - Herriete (Elthorp) E. Feldbrugge, age 76, of Herkimer, formerly of Ilion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, with her family by her side. She was born on October 4, 1937, in Mohawk, the daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Mosher) Elthorp, and graduated from West Canada School. On November 6, 1976, she was married to Frank C. Feldbrugge in Herkimer. He died on November 26, 1984. Herriete was employed at Eggers, Caryl & Corrigan in Utica. She was a member of Cold Brook United Methodist Church and past President of its Believers Group. Herriete also was a member and past Treasurer of AARP Chapter #1410, coordinator of its Widowed Persons Service and volunteer at Catholic Charities. She was also a director at the Herkimer County Fair Assoc. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Kimber Lee Elthorp, of Mohawk, and Kitty E. Feisthamel, of Herkimer, and her husband, Edward, of Frankfort; three grandsons, Michael, Anthony and Zachary Elthorp; one granddaughter, Brandy Feisthamel; two stepsons, Steven and Frank Feldbrugge; three stepdaughters, Sabrina Weller, Robin Bennett and Marilla Stanley; two sisters, Mary Edwards, of Herkimer, and Roberta Ann Holmes, of Florida; four brothers, Alfred Elthorp, of Herkimer, Richard Elthorp and his wife, Gerry, of Frankfort, Donald Elthorp and his wife, Carol, of Mohawk, and William "Bill" Elthorp and his wife, Carolyn, of Mohawk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Charles and George Elthorp; and her sister, Betty Jean White. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion (old Main St. between Ilion and Frankfort), with Pastor Genett Timlin, of Cold Brook United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, next to her husband Frank. Calling hours are Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral home service.
