ILION: Toshya L. Jennett-Close, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Born in Herkimer, NY on December 12, 1983, Toshya is the daughter of John M. Jennett and Nina J. Sheffler. Raised and educated locally, she was a graduate of Mohawk High School and Mohawk Valley Community College where she received her degree as a registered nurse. Toshya was employed as a registered nurse at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. In her leisure time, she enjoyed 4-wheeling, fishing, snowmobiling, swimming and the hobby of photography. She is survived by her father, John Jennett and his wife Sherri; her mother, Nina Sheffler and Kevin McConeghy; her cherished children, Trey Matthew Guyer and Trey's loving father, James Guyer of Herkimer, Michael Ivan-Aaron Close and Michael's loving father, Scott Michael Close of West Winfield; her brothers, Nicholas Andrew Sheffler of Pennsylvania and Zachary Alexander Childs of Mohawk; her half brothers, Joshua Jennett and Nathan Busey; a half sister, Jaimie Belle Jennett; a step sister, Shelby Crim; step brothers, Peter Martin, David, Orlando and Alan Crim; her grandparents, Sam and Shirley Sheffler and Nancy Cornell and husband Bob and her great grandma, Mabel Crouch. She also leaves a special Aunt Dee, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her pets, Hoppy, Diamond and Milo. She was predeceased by her grandpa, Albert Jennett, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made in Toshya's memory in c/o Scott Close; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
