Obituary of Mary I Nagle

LITTLE FALLS - Miss Mary I. Nagle, age 98, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday morning July 14, 2014 at the Alpine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls. She was born on August 14, 1915 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Patrick and Julia (Leader) Nagle and was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy. She went on to attend and also graduate from Excelsior School of Business in Utica. Mary last worked with Little Falls Hospital on a clerical level and had worked prior to that for over 40 years with Upstate Loan Company of Little Falls. She accepted a position with Upstate Loan Company after her Business school graduation and had worked under the direction of the late W.R. Whitman. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and a devoted member to the Holy Family Parish Rosary Society. She was a member of the Catholic Charities of Herkimer County where she served as a transporter and also served meals at Rockton Plaza. She was also a member of A.A.R.P. Mary was predeceased by her brother, John "Bud" Nagle, and she is survived by her sister- in-law, Edith Nagle; three nephews, John "Jack" Nagle and wife, Cheryl, Thomas Nagle and wife, Sherry, and David Nagle and wife, Kim; nine great-nieces and nephews; five great-grand nieces and nephews; and a godchild, Sondra Roemer. Her funeral will begin at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls on Thursday July 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM where prayer will be offered and at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets, Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Reverend Terence Healy, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home prior to the services from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM Thursday morning. Contributions in her memory of Mary I. Nagle may be considered to the Holy Family Parish. Envelopes are available at the Enea Family Funeral Home.
