LITTLE FALLS - Mr. Charles Heckel, age 75, of North Ann Street, Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning July 15, 2014 at the Alpine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Little Falls. The family is grateful for the compassionate care extended from the staff at the Alpine. He was born on December 18, 1938 in Trahenberg, Germany, son of the late Karl and Gerda (Wandlowsky) Heckel and came to America at a young age. He was a graduate of the Little Falls High School, "Class of 1957." Charlie joined in marriage with the former Andrea Andrilla at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls on July 18, 1964, a loving union. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this Friday. In 2004 Charlie retired from Burrows Paper Corporation in Little Falls after 41 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his beloved wife: Andrea; his son: William Heckel of Little Falls; his brother and sister - in - law: Alan Andrilla and his wife Peggy of Little Falls; along with many nieces, nephews and feline companions. There will be a graveside service Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Johnsville Cemetery, with Deacon Joseph DeLorenzo, officiating. There are NO calling hours.
