Obituary of Wayne L. Kramer

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mr. Wayne L. Kramer, age 70, a longtime resident of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away peacefully early Friday morning July 25, 2014 at the Wells Nursing Home facility in Johnstown, NY. He was born on August 15, 1943 in Little Falls, NY a son of the late Harold & Anna (Droski) Kramer. He attended St. Johnsville schools. He was a retired employee of Beech-Nut in Canajoharie (over 35 years). Wayne had lived in Canajoharie since 1995 so as to be closest to his work. Most recently he lived at the Pineview Commons on South Melcher Street in Johnstown. Wayne lived in St. Johnsville most of his life. He loved to travel. Those who knew Wayne best admired his love of the horse races, including travelling to Saratoga Race Track as well as his frequenting of OTB. He enjoyed all of his friends so much and enjoyed hanging out at Stewart's, especially in Fort Plain. He was a member of the Johnstown Reformed Church and actively volunteered his time at church dinners. He also volunteered as a cook at Camp Fowler in Speculator. His family fondly remembers him as an avid Frankie Lane fan as well. Survivors include two brothers - in - law Robert Douglas of St. Johnsville and Richard Subik of Wolcott, NY; one sister - in - law Barbara Kramer of Palatine Bridge, NY; nieces and nephews including Rick Subik, Brian Subik, Carly Kramer, Bobby Kramer, Rodney Douglas, Rhonda Snell, Randy Douglas, and Julie Battisti; and many friends. Beside his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother Lamont "Chip" Kramer, and two sisters Jacqueline Subik and Myrna Douglas. His calling hours and funeral service will be held on Saturday August 2, 2014 at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 10 until Noon and the funeral service will begin at Noon at the funeral home.The Reverend Brian Dykema, Pastor of the Johnstown Reformed Church will preside at the service. Interment will follow in the family plot at West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
