Obituary of William L. Neale

MOHAWK - Mr. William L. Neale, III, age 54, of Church Street in Mohawk, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening August 7, 2014. "Spike" received very good care from the Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown along with from his loving family who were at his side. He was born on October 6, 1959, in Ilion, NY a son of the late William L. Neale, Jr. and Gwendolyn (Dallas) Dennis. He attended Richfield Springs and Ilion schools. Spike enjoyed working as a mechanic with B&B Auto Repair in Herkimer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Diane M. (Dennis). The couple joined in marriage on April 18, 1987, in Ilion. Also surviving is his stepfather, Carl Dennis; his children, Jessica LaFountain and her husband, Jeremy, and Savannah Dennis; and many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and In-Laws. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Rebecca and Emily. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 11, 2014 at 7:00 PM from The Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion (old Main St. between Ilion and Frankfort). Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours prior to the service on Monday evening from 5 until 7 PM. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Rural Park Cemetery in Inghams Mills, where Mr. Neale will be laid to rest with his daughter Rebecca.
