Mrs. Nandine Mary (Green) Johnson 75 of 76 North Helmer Avenue, Dolgeville, died Thursday August 14th, 2014 at the Hospice & Palliative Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford with the Love and support of her family at her side. Nan was born in the Town of Salisbury on June 7, 1939 the daughter of the late Elmer J. and Edna Mae (Foster) Green and was educated in local schools. She was united in marriage to Christopher Johnson Sr. on October 16, 1954 in the Methodist parsonage in Dolgeville. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this October. Nan was employed for many years by the former Daniel Green Shoe Company of Dolgeville retiring from there in September 1977. She was a member of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church and will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of gardening, especially flowers, her avid interest in reading and also watching her favorite TV program "Days of Our Lives". Surviving is her husband Chris of 59 years, her Loving family her sons and their wives- Paul Johnson and his companion Linda of Little Falls, Robert and Tammy Johnson of Ithaca, Mark and Lucinda "Cindy" Johnson of Dolgeville, Kevin and Marion Johnson of Salisbury, Jack Johnson of Dolgeville, Christopher Jr. and Barbara Johnson of Dolgeville Gary and Jodi Johnson of Mississippi, a Daughter and her husband Darlene and George Hagarty of Florida, 57 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, several nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by her son David Paul "Bugsy" Johnson on December 13, 2009. In keeping with her wishes there are No calling hours or Services at this time.
