MOHAWK-SCHUYLER: Cheryl A. (Oldfield) Jackson, 43, a lifelong Mohawk Valley resident, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 with the love and support of her family by her side. Born in Herkimer, NY on October 7, 1970, Cheryl is the daughter of Rosemary E. (Marmet) View and Daniel H. Oldfield. She was a Graduate of Mohawk High School and had attended SUNY Canton. She was a member of the Mohawk American Legion Auxiliary and loved and appreciated her Irish Heritage, as well as Irish music. In her spare time she loved to camp and travel to Maine and Vermont. She appreciated her friends and family and nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with them. She is survived by her husband Thomas; her parents, Rosemary Elizabeth View and Edward View, Jr. of Mohawk and Daniel and Louise Oldfield of Fairfield; her grandmother, Patricia Oldfield; her stepson, Timothy Mantell and wife Nicole of Canastota; her stepdaughter, Sierra Jackson and family of Canastota; a stepbrother, Edward View III and wife Erin of Herkimer, Patrick View and wife Kellie of Mohawk, Scott View and wife Danielle of Alexandria, VA; a stepsister, Bonnie Muffett and husband Ron of Ilion; a half-sister, Amy Jo Oldfield and a half-brother, Daniel Oldfield both of Fairfield. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts and uncles, including special aunts and uncles, Kathleen Moynihan and husband David, Kenneth Marmet, James Marmet and wife Eva, as well as a special friend, Donna Kinney and her loving canine companion, Copper. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of the Herkimer Bassett Oncology Department, Hospice and Palliative Care, as well as MOVAC for their care and compassion shown to Cheryl during her illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, NY (Town of Frankfort).
